What the award is
GAF is North America’s largest roofing manufacturer. Each year it recognises a small group of its certified contractors with the President’s Club award, based on the previous year’s performance. Alte Roofing is a President’s Club award winner.
To be considered at all, a contractor must already hold GAF Master Elite® certification, which about 2% of roofers nationwide carry. Of those, fewer than one in two hundred go on to earn President’s Club.
How it is earned
Winners are assessed across three areas over the prior year. A contractor has to perform in all three — strength in one does not make up for a gap in another.
Performance & technical expertise
Verified installation quality and ongoing factory training, assessed across the prior year of completed work.
Reliability & business practices
Proof of proper licensing and insurance, financial stability, and sound business conduct.
Service & customer satisfaction
Consistently strong customer reviews and follow-through after the job is finished.

What it means for your roof
The practical benefit is warranty access. President’s Club contractors can offer GAF’s strongest warranty options, including the President’s Club Limited Warranty — non-prorated coverage of up to 50 years on manufacturing defects and up to 40 years on workmanship errors.
That matters because most roofing failures are not the shingles themselves — they are how the system was installed. A warranty that covers misapplication for decades is only offered through contractors GAF has verified it can stand behind.
